The Belfry Breakfast
 
Whether you choose to set yourself up with a Full Belfry or just plump for some toast, you should find everything you need to get you started with The Belfry Breakfast.  Our breakfast menu here gives you an indication of what you can expect after a good night's sleep and before you set out for the day.
 

Juice
Orange and Apple

Cereals
We have the usual favourites and change them occasionally.  We always have Gluten Free cereals too, please just ask if they aren’t on the table.

Muesli
Home Made when available or Dorset Cereals - try it with milk or yoghurt and fruit.

Yoghurt
A selection of fruit and plain yoghurts from Yeo Valley, Somerset.

Poached Fruits

A Full Belfry:

Fried bread, bacon, sausage, egg, tomatoes, mushrooms and beans

Egg
Roger's hens at Blackhays Farm, Stockland are superb. These Free-range eggs are so fresh and the yolks so bright you may occasionally need sunglasses! Lightly fried, poached (not with vinegar!) or scrambled.

Bacon
Barleymows Farm Shop, Snowden Hill, Chard - dry cured bacon.

Sausage
The Sausage Shed - purveyors of handmade award-winning sausages or Barleymows Farm Shop.

Mushrooms
Local Somerset mushrooms when in season.

Tomato
Oven-roasted vine tomatoes in a small amount of olive oil.

Beans
Heinz – of course!

Fried Bread
In goose fat, or olive oil if you prefer

Meat Free Sausages

Toast
When you prefer to be served - at the beginning, the middle or last part of breakfast, served with Fathers home-made jams and marmalade (when available), honey or Marmite.

Smoked Fish
Dartmouth Smokehouse produce some of the finest smoked goods in the entire world. Try one of their spectacular kippers or, when available, go for naturally smoked haddock.

Tea and Coffee
We serve Cafedirect FairtradeFairtrade breakfast Tea and Origin Monte Rosa estate coffee, grown on the mountainous slopes between two of Guatemala's highest volcanoes, on the Monte Rosa estate. The beans, grown in rich volcanic earth, are allowed to slowly ripen late in the year, resulting in a rich roasted, full flavoured, medium bodied, smooth tasting coffee.
